Lego Land Trip, Day 5 Part II

Lego Land continued....

Another Lego friend for Ian

The line for the Aquazone Wave Racers was really short (but still took a while).

These lucky kids got to ride Coastersaurus multiple times because the park had closed, we were the last in line, and the workers were feeling extra generous.

A few last pictures on the way out!

Ian loved his new Lego figures!

A plane that flew almost right over us, on the way back to the cottage.

For dinner that night, we stopped at The Taco Stand in downtown San Diego. I liked my tacos okay, but Erik got tired of his after a few bites. Also, we came back to the cottage for the second night in a row to find a door hanging wide open. This time it was the back door. The wind must have blown it open since it got pretty windy on the hill, plus the latch was faulty. With the door being open for who knows how long, a bunch of big mosquito look-alikes swarmed the place. Here are some pictures of the cottage that I took the morning we left.

A video of us driving on the big hill. I took this the day before Lego Land, but forgot to post it so here it is!

On the drive home, we stopped at McDonalds.  Gabe enjoyed playing this very large keyboard.

Such a fun trip to San Diego! I'm glad we got to go!

San Diego Trip, Day 5 Lego Land Part I

We arrived at Legoland early to avoid the crowds. Unfortunately, most of the rides didn't open when the park opened. We walked by several closed rides before going back to the Lego Coast Cruise for a slow boat ride. After that, we rode Ninjago and the Technic Coaster.
Walking in to the park.

Cutie waiting in line for the boat ride

Family pic, almost! Just need Gabe's whole face in there

They found a friend!

Gabe and Elisa rode the Beetle Bounce.

Our first roller coaster ride in Lego Land was the Technic Coaster. Ian was grumpy in line because he was hungry, but he loved the ride!

We waited in line for the Dragon Roller Coaster only to be turned away when the ride shut down. The newest ride was Lego City Deep Sea Adventure, so we waited in line for that while the kids played with Legos.

Waiting in line for the Deep Sea Adventure ride. I like that Lego Land has stations for kids to play at instead of waiting in line.

Getting on the Deep Sea Adventure ride. It was an okay ride.

We ate a delicious but expensive lunch at Knight's Smokehouse BBQ. It must be good because we eat there every time we go to Legoland. Elisa saw a duck game that awarded unicorns as prizes. She begged and begged and begged to play so she could win a unicorn.

Elisa picking out a couple ducks in order to win herself a unicorn, thanks to Grandpa!

Erik told the kids to put their heads in the stocks so he could take a picture

Learning how Legos are made in the Lego Factory.

Elisa and her unicorn. She later traded it in for a pink one.

Ian loved Driving School. He had enough time to ride it a second time.

No trip to Legoland is complete without eating Granny's Apple Fries and Legoland Gourmet Churros with chocolate dipping sauce.

The boys loved making things with Legos while we sat at waited for Grandpa and Elisa to ride the Lego Friends Carrousel.

Ian liked Fairy Tale Brook so much he insisted on riding it twice. It's a good thing there was no line.

Silly Ian wanted me to take his picture with his new Lego friend.

Riding the Dragon ride. Ian was my little buddy the entire day at Lego Land. He wanted to ride every ride with me. I took some adorable pictures of him while riding the ride. He loved all the roller coaster rides he rode! He had such a good time. He's so cute! I'm happy when he's happy.

Gabe can't seem to raise his hands all the way up on roller coasters, haha! Silly Gabe.

The kids liked playing with Legos in line as much as riding Lost Kingdom Adventure.

Some bad pictures of pictures Erik took of us on Lost Kingdom Adventure.
