January Random Happenings, Part II

Here are more fun things we did in the second half of January:

Jan. 16-18
I finally finished my first-ever painting of a grand piano, which I wanted to hang on the wall above my piano. I was inspired by a painting I saw on one of our cruises. I wanted it colorful so I tore up some old sheet music and had fun making paint splatters. I didn't have too much of a plan for this, I just went with whatever I felt like at the time. I'm pretty happy with it, but the angle of the keyboard is slightly off, whoops!

January 19
Ian had fun making Mario figures out of clay.

Erik and Ian worked on Ian's Nintendo Lego set that he got for Christmas. Ian had to do all of his work first before they worked on it (just one bag at a time). They worked on it for at least a month, since they didn't complete a bag every day, and it was a really big Lego set!

This pretty princess choose to go to her school dance. She even chose and bought her dress herself, from a China-website called Shein. I'm surprised it actually fit, let alone arrive. But she sure looked cute! I helped her fix her hair the way she wanted, and she went off with her FBB Jayde but not before I bribed and cajoled her into letting me take some pictures of her. I'm assuming she had a good time, even though she didn't tell me much about it. They served Chick-fil-a for dinner is about all I know!

Ian's 8-Year Portraits

Here are Ian's 8-year portraits taken by me. I stopped going to JC Penney years ago since they tripled their prices, and phone cameras have improved so much anyway! I took Ian out in the back Sunday after church (Jan 8) and fixed his hair. Isn't he just the cutest?! I think they turned out pretty good. I posted just about all of the pictures I took. How is it that Ian is this cute?? Haha.
I put together a few of the best and printed out a 10"X10" from Shutterfly to hang in my front room.

Ian's 7-year Portraits

I couldn't get myself and Ian to JCPennys for a portrait session (plus they doubled their prices) so I thought hey, I have a phone with a nice camera! So I called Ian outside and snapped a bunch of shots. My mom helped by standing behind me, in an attempt to get Ian to laugh, or at least smile. I think the pictures turned out cute. The lightings not perfect, but its good enough. I made a collage through one of my phone apps and sent it into Shutterfly to get printed out. I ordered a 10X10" print and hung it in the front room. I also ordered a plain 8X10 of just one pose, I'll either give it to Grandma or hang it on my wall by the stairs. Isn't he the cutest? He's gotten so big. It was hard to pick only a few poses!

Ian's 6-Year Portraits

Here are Ian's adorable pictures from his portrait session taken January 30th 2021. They turned out pretty cute! It was hard to choose from so many handsome poses.  Aww, my little squish-bean is growing up into a nice-lookin' kid! I can't believe he's 6!
