Erik bought tickets to attend his 25th reunion at Pine View High School. He got work off and we all drove up to St. George on Friday. After dropping our things off at Grandma and Grandpa's house, we headed over to the Washington City Pool for the family activity portion of the reunion. The pool was both indoors and outdoors, and it had a slide, splashpad, and small, lazy river. Elisa refused to come, but Ian and Gabe came and swam in the pool. Erik and I swam for a bit, but not for long. Erik mostly chatted with his friends while I did nothing and waited for him to finish. Someone handed out ice creams, which Ian and Gabe sure enjoyed. After, they took some pictures and then we got to leave.

The next day, Erik and I went to Walmart for a few items. We got a puzzle (which we did in the basement so Zetta wouldn't get to it) and a pink plastic swan puzzle for Elisa. It didn't really come with instructions, but with some help she figured it out. I think she left the swan behind.

Later that day, Erik had planned for us and his friend group to eat at Red Fort. They were pretty accommodating, and the food was yummy as usual. We chatted with Erik's friend Steve and his wife, didn't have much choice since we were both on the end. Erik had a slideshow prepared and brought the projector to show everyone. The funny part of the lunch was when Erik's friend Steve mistook me for his wife (we are about the same height and were wearing outfits very similar in color) and grabbed my waist. I just thought it was Erik, until Erik said, "umm...that's my wife." Haha.

I don't remember exactly what we did the next day (Saturday), I think Erik went golfing in the morning, and I went with Elisa to Frenzy's for some saltwater taffies, and then to Deseret Book where I found some g-bottoms and organ prelude music. Later that evening was the actual reunion event at the school. We chatted for a while with random people and then us and the friend group sat down at one huge table for dinner. The dinner wasn't anything special, but the desserts were pretty good. Erik's friend Karleena made them. Mostly we just chatted the evening away. Erik was given a few tickets for entering raffles for several items. I put the tickets in the items I thought were winnable, and we won the men's haircare gift set. After dinner the group took a short tour of the school, mostly to reminisce and see what had changed.
After 25 years, Erik's picture is still on the wall for being the Science Sterling Scholar in 2001.
They had a weird, live quiz about everyone in the class with questions based on their yearbook and facebook posts. Erik somehow took second place, but only first place won a prize.

The next day was Sunday June 14. The kids and I didn't go to church because we didn't bring up our church clothes, but Erik did. Later in the evening Makayla made us dinner. Can't go to St. George without a swim in the pool!

Lunch at Chubby's before our flight. I had a turkey sandwich with sprouts.

It's good to see pictures of Erik's friends. I'm sure Erik enjoyed visiting with them again. I took a picture of Erik's photo on the wall at Pineview when Makayla was there singing an Italian solo at SUPAF 12 years ago. We always enjoy your family visits here with the kids. I only wish I'd known everyone was meeting for lunch at Chubby's. I can always find something there to eat.
