The Cutest Home Invader

Here we are in March! My usual 3-month-gap is closing! Now I am only a month and a half behind! Yay! Someday I will officially catch up!
On March 8th I was in the guest bathroom.  I had just taken a shower and all of the sudden, I look down and see the most adorable baby bunny just sitting there on the tile!  I wanted to pick the bunny up and love her and cuddle her, but she would have probably died of fright and I don't care to have her fleas and rabies and whatever else bugs and diseases she carried.  So instead I fed her some carrots, green beans, water, and grass.  The bunny ate the grass.  But the whole "bunny loves carrots" idea is nonsense.  This bunny didn't touch her carrot!   It was so late so I left the bunny in the bathroom for the night.
The next morning she was gone.  I don't know why I thought bunnies couldn't squeeze through the bottom of a door, but duhhh of course they can! I have no clue where the bunny could possibly have hid, but wherever she hid, it was a great hiding spot because we could not find her anywhere! She came out later that evening. I was afraid she would be lost in the house and die and the only way we would ever find her was from the stench of her rotting carcass--PHEW that is NOT what happened thank goodness!! She came out of wherever she was hiding and went back to the same place in the bathroom that I had originally found her.  This time I was smart--I but some grass in a  little box.  She hopped right in and Erik and I righted the box and we had her! We had just tucked Elisa in bed, but we thought that she shouldn't miss this so we woke her up (she was just barely asleep, if that).  She loved the little bunny! We all admired the bunny for a short time, and then took her and her box outside in the backyard so she could be free.  After taking a few pictures, we let her be so she could hop away on her own time.  What a cute adorable bunny! This bunny invader was much better than finding a scorpion invader!

  1. How did the bunny get inside the house? Was the back door left open? A number of years ago the cat cornered a baby bunny in the backyard upper corner. We put it in a box and let it go the next day in Pine Valley with the wild bunnies that lived there.
