Christmas, Part II

After the Blaylock’s had left, grandma and grandpa came up.   Christmas wasn’t quite over!  The kids enjoyed even more gifts, but the biggest gift of all was a brand new trampoline! Erik would have never got the kids a trampoline, so that job fell into Grandpas lap and he gladly accepted it.  It was quite the job setting up the trampoline, but fortunately it was nice weather.  The kids have been jumping on the trampoline almost every day since it’s been set up.  Especially Ian.  He loves it most of all! The kids got spoiled with other gifts as well. But nothing trumps the trampoline!
Here are the pictures:

Setting up the trampoline

Trying it out!

It doesn't look like much here, but Ian accidentally head-butted me during our morning snuggle.  A few days later, I had a bonafide black eye. Good thing Santa put some concealer in my stocking! That dud sure knows what's up!

At Chick-Fil-A:
Elisa and her chick-fil-a cone.  She is silly!

Ian and his cone.  Is it just me, or do my kids have huge owl-like eyes??

Elisa and her favorite person, besides me.

My adorable, handsome Gabe at Chick-fil-a.
More fun stuff:
Great Grandma Brenda sent the kids a box of presents!

I asked for an embroidery kit for my birthday.  I got it for Christmas. It was fun to try it out, even if I don't know what the heck I'm doing.

And more eating out.  These pictures are from Bobby-Q's. We've decided that we like this restaurant! They give free, fresh donuts for dessert!
Elisa!

My plate.  The ribs were good but not great. I thought Erik's prime rib and Grandma's beef brisket were much tastier than these ribs.  Also Ian's mac-n-cheese was really good!

Ian and his "bee-ump-bee-eyes" and "mac-cheese".

We brought in the new year with some appetizers and fireworks.  Well, maybe just poppers:

Yum! Erik makes cheeseballs every year.
Our adorable Ian and all of his expressions, clearly enjoying the poppers.

Annnnnd.....finally in the year 2018!  Here are a few more fun things we did with Grandma and Grandpa:
I bought a big bag of silly string and Goodwill for $1.  The kids had fun spraying each other in the backyard.  I don't think clean-up was too bad, but then again, Grandpa cleaned most of it up!

My adorable Ian-Bean got a new shirt! I bought the shirt at Walmart and made the design using fabric paint and freezer paper (and also a sharp X-acto knife!)

And of course, more eating out! I love eating out.  One of my life's simple pleasures, haha! This time we went to Abuelos, with the abuelos, haha. I think I wasn't very hungry or wasn't feeling well, because I wasn't super "into" this dinner.  Also Ian fell asleep on me during dinner, poor kid.
 My plate!

A rare photo of Elisa eating food.

 My eye was looking worse!
Lots of make-up and the duck face do wonders for a black eye!

  1. Nice pictures of everyone! I didn't know you made the "I love AZ" on Ian's shirt. It's really cute! Beautiful embroidery, too!
