Another birthday, come and gone! I am officially in my mid-thirties! Old or young, depending on who's counting, haha. No matter, I'm exactly where I want to be at my age.
Anyway, even though I got my main present already (my sewing machine), I still had my birthday dinner out with Erik! My dad watched the kids while we went to the Capital Grille. It was good, not super amazing though, especially for the price. I ordered the steak, and it was just okay, not the best I've had. Everything else was really good though. Especially the potatoes. We were even treated to some fancy hot wash rags after dinner! We were a little confused by them, and being the backward hicks that we are, we figured they must be for washing our feet so we took off our shoes and socks, put our feet upon the table, and proceeded to vigorously scrub our feet with the warm cloths. It felt really good until they made us leave. Just kidding. None of that happened, except the warm wash cloths and the slight confusion as to what we were to do with them, but we just wiped our hands with them.
After we got home, I opened a couple more gifts, which were chocolate covered pecans, some anti-wrinkle face cream (appropriate), and a generous note from Erik! Although according to Erik, I pre-spent it by having some unwanted lumps removed from my head via the dermatologist. Also my mom bought me some awesome coffee-tea on Amazon. It tastes, smells, and looks like coffee but its 100% herbal tea and no caffeine. My dad had bought me some new running shoes back when we visited him in July so that was his present to me. My dad and the kids made me a silly cake! All in all a great birthday for me!
Super yummy lobster bisque.
My steak. Good, but not great.
Erik's lamb chops. They were really good.
My silly, yummy cake
My coffee-tea. I put some soy milk and TBSP of vanilla syrup and it is delicious!
I really like this kind of gift!

It looks like you had a great birthday!
