I was absolutely starving after the Ostrich farm, luckily we went straight to lunch at Saffron Indian Buffett. I was so hungry that I finished off two plates while everyone was still on their first. I was good—but not great. They kids really liked the mango pudding.
Eating at the India Buffet. I was impressed that the kids actually tried half of what they did!
After lunch we drove to Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum. Half the exhibits were closed (no thanks to the over-hyped CV), but we wouldn’t have had time to see them anyway since we arrived at 3:30 and they close at 5:00. It wasn’t much of a museum at all, as we were outside the entire time. It was nice weather, not too hot or too cold. We looked at stuff such as animals and plants and even rocks. The kids we’re hungry and tired by the time 5:00 rolled around. Grandpa bought Gabe a booklet to hold his pressed coins he’s been collecting, Elisa some rock candy, and some prickly pear candy for me which I shared with everyone else. Here are the pictures of the Desert Museum:
Bats and their scat in the cave!

The kids liked picking out neat-looking rocks in this mining area/setup
The views of the desert were so pretty! I tried to get a good pic but its always prettier in person. Most of this visit was just walking around and looking at desert plants and the desert scenery.
Elisa enjoyed rolling along on her heelies, while Ian did NOT enjoy a tumble down the stairs. He was looking at his watch and not paying attention to where he was walking. I bring that it because the fall happened just before or just after I took this video.
We headed to our VRBO house and relaxed. Erik and Grandpa and Elisa went to El Guero Canelo and picked up some Sonoran hotdogs, quesadillas for Ian and Elisa, a plain hotdog for Gabe, and a steak taco for me and a chicken taco for Grandma. I like the Sonoran hot dog, and my taco might have been good had here been salsa to go with it, but it was dry as it was. Then I watched Erik and the boys play a game of trouble, and then watched a few vintage cartoons on YouTube, fought with the kids to go to sleep, and then finally to bed.
The Sonoran hotdog
Lots of different varieties of plants and animals all in a fairly small area. The rocks near the mine entrance were interesting.
