Our original excursion in Nassau for the Blue Lagoon was cancelled from the hurricane that passed through before we arrived. We decided to book the Atlantis Aquarius waterpark, and a few of us (me and Grandma) would go on the chocolate tour. We found out that morning that the Aquarius waterpark was canceled for the day because of the storm, so we bought tickets for all of us to go on the chocolate tour. We ate breakfast in the buffet then we met inside the fathoms lounge for our chocolate tour. When it was our turn, we walked off the ship. It was very, very windy. At the end of the pier, we boarded our purple bus and took a short drive through Nassau until we got to gray cliff Chocolatier.
They gave us blue bouffants to wear for the tour and plastic aprons for the chocolate making. After a short explanation about chocolate, they took us into the chocolate making room where we all got to taste liquid samples of all the chocolates: white, milk, and dark. Next, we were given enough chocolate and toppings to make our own bars. While we waited for the bars to cool, we walked around the gift shop, where each of us was given two free samples of their bonbons. Finally, we went back into the chocolate making room to remove our chocolate bars from the molds. On our way out, we bought a couple of souvenirs.
On our way back to the ship, we passed several shops, but most of them were closed because of the storm earlier that week. We went back to the ship to put our chocolates away. Erik took Elisa for Frozen trivia, but they didn’t win. They stuck around for a little bit to do some frozen crafts. I went to the rainforest room in the spa where I met Erik; we tried out the warming loungers in the steam room. afterwards, I found Elisa and Ian making some Halloween crafts.
For dinner, it was Halloween night, so everyone wore their costume. We ate at Rapunzel's Royal Table that evening. There was a brief show with some singing minstrels, ruffians from the snuggly duckling, Flynn Ryder, and Rapunzel.
After dinner, Erik and Ian went trick-or-treating around some of the lounges on the ship. Gabe found out that he could win a hat if he was able to beat one of the crew members at Mario kart. Unfortunately, we were informed via the ship’s announcement system that our visit to Castaway Cay was cancelled due to the weather, so we would have an extra day at sea.
We all looked funny in our blue hats, but at least we got chocolate to eat. From trick or treating we got more chocolate. Dinner is always interesting and fun especially dessert. Nice pictures of everyone!
