Disney World Day 4-Animal Kingdom

Day #4 was spent at Animal Kingdom.  Animal Kingdom isn't as large as the other parks and it closed earlier, so it was nice to take it a little easier this day.  This day was also Halloween, so I dressed the kiddos in their Halloween attire.  Elisa was a big hit in her Halloween outfit!
Animal Kingdom is kind of like a zoo, in which their are a lot of animals to see, but there are also a couple of shows and a few rides too.  I don't have any pictures, but if you do ever get the chance to go to Animal Kingdom, don't leave the park without seeing the Finding Nemo show and the Lion King show.  They are AMAZING and I highly recommend them!

For simplicity's sake, I'll just narrate along with the pictures:
The safari ride.  It was fun, but we've been very spoiled down here in TX with the Bayou Wildlife Park!
Fish!  They are always mesmerizing to watch, no matter how many times ya see them swim around...
Gorilla.  He was eating a pumpkin.

Gabe really enjoyed riding the Mt. Everest ride, even though it was a big thrill ride.  Silly boy.  I thought since he liked this ride he would be okay riding the dinosaur ride.  He did not like it at all--too scary for a little 4 year old.

Elisa having fun in the shop while waiting for daddy to ride the dinosaur ride.

A kiddie-dinosaur ride, kind of like the dumbo ride.  Gabe and Elisa liked it.

The bird show.  It's kinda fun to watch the first time, but since this was my 3rd time seeing it...meh.

A train ride to a petting zoo.  No Disney trip is complete without riding the train!

I guess this is part II of the day.  Animal kingdom closed early at 5, and a friend who lives in the Dinsey-area from High School invited us over for dinner and trick-or-treating.  It was fun to catch up and watch the kids go crazy over the candy!

Disney World Day 3-Magic Kingdom

For some reason, I remember this day the best.  Maybe it was because it was so much fun.  So much fun that I developed a migraine and threw up the entire contents of my stomach that night.  Or maybe I remember this day so well because of the migraine.  Either way, it sure was fun! Except for the migraine.  But let's continue with my post about the Magic Kingdom.
I dressed Elisa in her Cinderella dress--it was a big hit!  I bought some Cinderella earrings for her but I forgot them at home :(.  This was also Princess day, a very special day in the life of a little girl.  Elisa got to meet a couple princesses.  Everything was great about this day except that the Peter Pan ride was shut down for some unknown reason and my migraine.  But I'll let the pictures do the talking:

Waiting for Mommy and Gabe on the Thunder Mountain Railroad

Stepping off the Thunder Mountain Railroad---one of Gabe's favorite rides, of course!  He calls it the "fast train"
Elisa making new friends while waiting for Mommy and Gabe

On the Small world ride.  The kids really enjoyed this, especially Elisa because they are all "dowies" (dollys)

 The Merry-go-round!

Such a special moment!  Elisa with Cinderella.  I loved how they set up this "attraction"; they made it a very special moment-the princesses were in a special, beautiful quiet room with gorgeous gowns.  Tthey were really sweet to Elisa.  I wish I would have gotten a video.   Sleeping Beauty gave Elisa a kiss!  Elisa still talks about the princesses.
 Elisa and Sleeping Beauty

We had lunch at the Beauty and the Beast castle.  It was very good (as usual, all the food at the Disney Parks is pretty good), but I was hoping the had the Pommes-Frites like they have a Disney land, but alas, they were just plain french fries :(

A cute picture of my Erik and my Eesa watching the parade.

This girl ought to have been in the parade instead of on the sidelines.  Look at that fabulous hand wave!

Sharing my Dole Whip Float with the babies.

 On the Train.
Gabe being a goof.  This is when my migraine was starting to get bad...ugh.  I'm glad I don't get those very often!

Disney World Day 2--Hollywood Studios

The next day was spent at Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM studios).  It's been almost two months since we went so my memory of this specific day is starting to fade, but I do remember we watched a couple shows like Beauty and the Beast, and Extreme Stunt Show.  We all enjoyed Mikey's Philharmonic Orchestra, Disney Jr. Live on Stage, the Backlot Tour, the Ariel Ride, the Tower of Terror (Gabe didn't want to go--I dragged him with me and he laughed the whole ride.  We got off and he said he didn't like the ride.  Go figure.) and Toy Story Mania (I tripped on the stairs while carrying Elisa after getting off this ride.  I got a nasty scrape from that!).

The kids modeled hats while waiting for Mommy finish riding Rockin' Roller Coaster.
Going to Disney Jr.  The kids have been preparing for it by watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  They were singing that song all the way from Texas to Florida!
Gabe realized that if he begged us enough, he could get pretty much whatever he wanted.  In this case, ice cream of the day #1.
 On the Backlot Tour.
At the stunt show.  It's hard to get a good pic of the entire family! Good thing I have long arms!

Ice cream #3.  Ice cream #2 we had all shared and was just finished when Gabe acquired this one.  One of the employees gave it to him.  Don't know why, but they did!  It sure made this little boy happy! Again!
Me and my cute kids.  I had fun making their personalized Disney shirts (they where cheap to make and turned out great!)

Disney World, Day 1 Epcot

After 15+ hours in the car (broken up of course) we finally made it to Disneyworld!!  Our hotel wasn't the nicest (not the worst either) but we got a really good price and breakfast was included so it didn't bother me too much.
Our first day (October 28) was spent at Epcot.  It wasn't too crowded and the weather was good.  There was a little bit of waiting around because Elisa was too little to ride a lot of the rides, but at least we got to sit down and look at toys!  I'll let the pictures do most of the talking:
Leaving the hotel to go to Disneyland!!

At the bus stop.  We decided to take the bus to save some $$...not sure that it was worth it to take the bus though!

Waiting for Gabe and Mommy to finish the Test Track ride (which was newly remodeled--at least since we've been there 6 years ago).  Gabe loved this ride!
More of Elisa waiting around for Gabe and mommy/daddy to finish a ride
Elisa loved to play in the cars they had on display in the Test Track ride.

Playing with toys while she waits...
 ...more waiting
Gabe enjoyed the coloring stations they had set up all over Epcot

Who needs a $2,000 trip to DisneyWorld when one can have just as much fun watching a model train drive around?!
 Me and my princess!

The kids LOVED playing in the Imaginarium place.  I couldn't get them out of there!

The drums were so much fun for the kids!

Erik and I sure loved trying all the yummy food at Epcot's Food and Wine Festival!  One of my favorite parts about going to Epcot at Halloween time!!
