Valentine's Day 2015

I love Valentines day, now that I have lots of people (little ones in particular) to love!!  I didn't do much for extended family because having a new baby kinda scrambles my brain and time & energy are in short supply.  I was just happy enough to keep it together enough so that I had something for the kids.  I'm not quite sure if I even got anything for Erik for V-day.  Yeah, I'm lame.  But, Erik still loves me, hence the flowers.

Gabe's kindergarten Valentine's box.  FULL of candy.  I don't remember getting candy on Valentines day when I was his age.  I was content with the cards.

The kids immediately gobbled up the candy in Gabe's box.

My pretty little Valentine on valentine's day!  Her dress was last year's style and it just baarrrley fit her!
 My cute little Valentines!

The past couple of years my friend has been doing a Valentine's party for all the kids.  We came prepared with cute outfits and cookies:
 Elisa playing pin-the-something-on-the-something.

 Gabe really enjoys craft projects

Picture time!  The girls apparently missed the memo.

All the kids and some fun props

 My silly Gabe.

The roses were a big hit with the little girls.  I, of course, forgot our Valentines on the counter.  Whoops.
I did remember to bring the cookies though!  I make these soft frosted sugar cookies every
Valentine's day!

The kids got spoiled.  They both got a box of chocolates.  Gabe got a Mario and Luigi soft keychain dolls and Elisa got a pink pony she had been wanting.

3 roses for Eesa and flowers for me

Elisa also had a mini V-day party after her dance class:

Welcome home/Grandma fun!

Welcome home baby Ian!  Its so special, exciting, and overwhelming to bring a new baby home!  I was glad to have help from my mom and Erik's mom with the kids and around the house.  Okay, mostly just help out with Elisa, as she was--make that IS--my biggest challenge when it comes to new baby Ian! She loves Ian just a little too much.  Gabe though, is usually pretty good and gentle around Ian.
We all love Ian so much!! We are so grateful & blessed to have this sweet little guy in our lives.  It is a juggling act with 3 kids, but they are all so sweet and special in their own little way; it's impossible not to enjoy having them around, even if they can be little naughty stinks.

This is an incoherent, random post.  I have limited time and limited brain function now this will have to do:

Elisa and baby, a couple minutes after we got home from the hospital
Such a good big brother!
Me and my sweet little Ian.  Recovery was okay.  It seemed to take longer than it did with Elisa, that or I was just really impatient to get back to my old self!
My mom and the yummy treat she made us

my mom and tiny Ian
So sweet and tiny!
Gabe had his hundredth day of school a week or so after we brought Ian home.  They asked us to dress up the kids as if they were a hundred years old.  I thought it was kinda dumb, but we did it anyway.  Silly!

Tiny Ian drinking milk from a bottle.  He objects to any such thing now!

We took the kids and Grandma Marsha down to Galveston to see the Mardi Gras parade.  Lots and and lots of beads were thrown, but that wasn't good enough for my spoiled kids.  They whined and pouted and fussed, and I really don't actually know the exact reason why. Not enough beads?  I kinda wanted to take them and their naughty selves straight home, but I wanted to see the parade myself and so did everyone else, so we stayed,

Some random pictures of my sweet boy:

Here are some more pictures from my iPod.  I have a TON of pictures and videos, but I don't have room or time to upload them all to this post.  I might make a separate post later

 Just gettin' comfy.

Elisa trying to "nurse" her Anna doll.  LOL!

Changing Ian's diaper.  I've never heard a baby scream so much during a diaper change as this boy.  I've also never had a baby born in the winter.  Poor little guy, so cold!

 My mom & Ian
2 week old smiles!!
Gabe doing his science kit with daddy.  This picture has nothing to do with anything, although it was taken around this time so I'll leave it!
Elisa tripped over grandma's suitcase and hit her chin on the tile.  Ouch!
