There is this fun place for kids not to far from our house called Jump n Jungle. It's a bunch of (huge) blowup-slides/jumpers/obstacle courses that the kids can play on. Gabe of course loves it, and so does Elisa (she needs lots of assistance though!). We've been a couple of times, it's not to badly priced ($7) if you go every now and again. The first time we went was with the Resiterns group, and they paid our way. We joined Resiterns when we first moved in, it is a nice social network for UTMB docs and their families. We've done several other things with the group which I will post later.
Here are the pictures, we will definitely be going to Jump n Jungle again!

Pumpkin Farm
Last Saturday we took the kids to a pumpkin farm, called Dewberry Farms. It was super fun with lots of things for the kids to do. The kids absolutely LOVED the pumpkin "patch". There were lots of other activities as well that Gabe had a blast doing. I wish we could have stayed for longer!
I didn't love was the crowds though, man it was crowded! And STILL hot, even nearing the end of October...I should have worn shorts! Also, I hated the corn maze, I DO NOT like getting lost! It happens too much in real life for it to be fun! And, we didn't bring enough water so that is mostly the reason we left earlier than I liked. Oh, and we all got sunburns! Oops! Other than that, it was such a perfect place to take little kids! I would like to go back in November when it is half price, cooler, and hopefully less people (but not less things to do)! Here are the pics:
Sliding down the slide with Daddy!
Swinging in the hay
Gabe picking out his pumpkin
Stylin' in the patch.
This was the best shot I could get of both of them!
Gabe found a way to climb into the funnel of the train they had to play on.

Day Out With Thomas!
What could be more perfect for a Thomas-obsessed little boy then getting a ride from "real-life" Thomas Engine?! I couldn't resist setting up a mini-trip to this event (Sept 29), called "Day Out with Thomas". It wasn't an especially cheap trip, considering the gas $$ (it was 3 hours away) and hotel room costs, but Erik had the time off and I thought Gabe would have a blast.
We all had a blast---a blast of rain that is. It was like the clouds exploded on us, of all days!! Argghh we were all a soaking, sopping, dipping mess when we left. Good thing I bought Gabe his very own (Thomas the train, of course) umbrella!
There were a bunch of little stations set up. They were fun, and included a magic show, free balloons, and music. Gabe's favorite was the play table station, however, we weren't there near long enough for Gabe to get his fill, he threw the BIGGEST fit when I told him we had to go (to ride Thomas!) and I had to pick him up kicking and screaming! Who knew my sweet little Gabe could act so horribly! Gabe was so upset he hardly could enjoy the train ride. We really should have gone there first! Oh well. All in all it was fun, would have been much more so if it wasn't pouring rain :/
Here are some pics:
Stop at McDonald's on the drive there
Cute little faces!
Elisa's Thomas dress I made, it turned out waaayyy more elaborate than I planned but I love it on her!
My cute little Gabe in his Thomas shirt
Playing with the trains
Picture with Thomas!
Picture with Sir Toppham Hat. Elisa was obviously terrified and Gabe wouldn't go anywhere near him!

A Bit About Elisa
A bit about Elisa:
She is silly:
She is sassy:
Nuthin' gets past this girl! She is so full of personality and charm it is impossible not to love her! She constantly entertains us with her giggles and babbles.
She is social:
Elisa loves people! She often will go up to a random stranger and smile. She loves big brother Gabe and her dollies too! She constantly requests attention from Mommy and Daddy. Loving people is Elisa's specialty!
She is single:
She is single:
And will be until she is 35, says Daddy.
When it comes to making messes, this girl never misses the opportunity. Her favorite activities include finger painting with oatmeal, pulling clothes out of drawers, and slopping on her cute outfits-- ensuring that Mommy can NEVER keep up with the laundry! And let's not forget the big tantrums she throws, and not even 18 months yet! Mommy and Daddy are in for it when this girl turns 2!
She is Stunning:
Elisa is absolutely beautiful! Long eyelashes, big pretty hazel eyes, golden hair, a cute button nose, pouty lips, and pink round cheeks!
She's sweet:
She's a sucker!
For fingers, that is. Not hers, nope. They have to be Mommy's or Daddy's, but Mommy's are a definite favorite.
She is always willing to try on anything Mommy has for her. And she looks GOOD doing it!

Elisa's First Haircut
Since I cut Gabe's hair, Gabe thought it would be okay if he cut Elisa's hair. And silly mommy didn't put everything away like she should have, so this is what happened:
AAACKK! Her hair! Her beautiful golden locks! She does NOT have hair to spare. Did I mention Gabe cut two spots out on his own hair as well?? Yes he did! All scissors are hidden. From me too, I have seriously no idea where they are, but anyway...horrible huh? We were so mad at Gabie but I can't be too mad at him. I remember being scissor happy when I was little and cut off all of my dolly's hair, eye lashes, and even little sister Lisa got a haircut. I guess cutting sibling's hair is a right-of-passage for children! Haha.
Speaking of haha, I can laugh at this now because Elisa's hair has grown back surprisingly fast. This incident happened maybe little over a month ago. The bald spot in the bottom pic is completely gone, and the spots on the sides are barely noticeable. Yay! Gabe's hair has grown back too. Good thing for hair bows, and hair that grows!

Toes!
I've been wanting to paint Elisa's tiny, sweet little toes ever since she was born, but I held out until just a couple of months ago! She is a pretty good girl while I am painting her toesies, too bad the polish doesn't last long! (old polish??) Elisa is amused that we have the same color toes, she points at our toes and says "Oooooh!". I love having a little girl!
