Unfortunately, I was experiencing the WORST cold of my life while on this trip, no kidding. It lasted 2 WEEKS! I've never had a cold last that long. Not only that, it was horrible. My nose was so stuffy, I was exhausted, and I couldn't smell or taste anything--which to me is the one of the worst part of having a bad cold. But the worse thing about having this cold was that it acted like it was going away one day and the next day it would come back with a vengeance.
We almost didn't make it to our flight, I had those poor kids running through the airport trying to catch up with me as I headed towards the boarding gate just before it closed, all at 6:30 am! But they were really good kids on the plane and through the airport. Besides the awful cold and almost missing our flight, we all had a lot of fun.
The first few days consisted of me sitting on the recliner feeling horrible while the kids played with Aaliyah. I almost missed the family reunion because of my cold, but I was feeling just well enough to go. Lisa refused to go so it was just me, my mom, and the kids that went. It was a long drive up to Bear Lake! The cabin where the reunion was held was on top of a huge hill overlooking Bear Lake. The car almost didn't make it up the hill, but after gunning the car up the hill it finally made it. We were soooo very lucky to be able to get our own room as there were a lot of families there. Some one left and we came just in time to claim the room before another big family came! The cabin was really nice and Bear Lake is a fun place so I hope Erik gets to go with us next reunion or two! It was fun to see some relatives that we haven't seen for awhile and to show off my cute kids! The kids also enjoyed roasting hot dogs on a fire pit, jumping on the trampoline, hunting for coins in the dirt, and playing games in the lobby area.

There was a really fun playground at the cabin for the kids to play on
I was in charge of the coin-hunt for the little kids. They got dirty but had lots of fun!
Packing up to leave the cabin. The kids were covered in mosquito bites but had lots and lots of fun!
We spent the next couple days at Lisa's house. I was nice to be able to be out there for Aiden's blessing and Aaliyah's birthday party as well! I wish I would have taken more pictures. Elisa also got to meet her 2nd cousin Maddeline, and they hit it off pretty well. My cold was much better by this point and I moved to the kids room to sleep instead of the basement so I was feeling a whole lot better!

Then we all got to go down to my dad's house in Cedar City for a few nights. I don't know why I didn't take pictures, but I suppose everyone and the house look the same as the last pictures I posted... We didn't stay there too long but we all had a good time. The kids liked seeing all the lizards in the basement windowsills and going out to eat at iHop where they met up with Grandma Marsha. Later we all got to go down to St. George with Grandma Marsha where we stayed at their house for a few days. We all had fun swimming and eating pie, my mom and Lisa and her kids got to join us for that. The kids had fun with their grandparents', riding Makayla's house, and messing up their basement.

Then we went back to Lisa's house for a few days. Elisa got to play with Maddeline again. She had fun despite what the pictures say! The kids sure had fun playing with Aaliyah and eating Rumbi one last time before we had to leave. They were pretty good on the plane. It was such a fun visit and of course much too short! I would have stayed the entire summer if I could. Its nice to have my own bed to sleep in, though!
