Easter 2015

Another fun Easter!  It didn't collide with any birthdays this year, thank goodness.  But it did collide with General Conference--which didn't seem to matter one way or another, except Elisa didn't get to wear here Easter dress, hat, and gloves combo to church.  Good thing I didn't bother making her an Easter dress this year.
We invited our friends (the Archer family) over for Easter dinner.  I made the same things we always make--sausage & prune stuffing and acini fruit salad, plus some Easter favorites, deviled eggs and jello eggs!  Erik also made a ham, but it unfortunately wasn't very good.  Our friends brought rolls, funeral potatoes, and pies for dessert.  We also had an egg hunt for the kids.  The kids didn't get to do any egg hunts this year so I made sure to have our own for the kids this year.

The kids were excited to get their baskets!  I tried not to go too overboard with the candy and presents this year.  I bought them both some silly bird pens at Walmart.  Erik went to Kroger the night before and bought a bunch of candy.  I bought some Little Debbie butterfly "Easter Basket" cakes but forgot to put them in the baskets.  I ended up eating them all myself later.

Opening Easter presents from Grandma that I almost forgot about.  Even though Elisa didn't get to wear her dress to church, I let her wear her Easter dress for the day.

Not sure what this is, but I think it is me and Ian Easter morning.  Elisa must have taken this.  I love my Ian-baby!
Our Easter feast! Yum!
The Easter Egg hunt!
Of course Elisa had to find something to cry about.  I can't even remember why she was crying here.

Okay, so poor little Elisa did have something legitimate to cry about after all.  There were ants in her eggs.  Stupid Texas and its stupid, gross bugs.

The kids and their baskets.  It was good perfect weather too

My pretty girl is finally happy!
