He Walks!

Ian took his very first steps when he was 11 months old!  January 11th of 2016.  Elisa was 11 months when she started walking at Gabe was 12 months, so we thought 11.5 months was expected for Ian based on his siblings' walking timeline.  However, we realized that taking first steps doesn't necessarily equate to walking.  He still thought that crawling was the best way to get around.  And he was darn good at it too!

Then one day, about two months later (early March--Ian was 13 months), I took Elisa and Ian to story time at the library (she happened to have a day off from preschool).  It was Ian's very first story time! My younger self would be so ashamed of my current self for never taking my baby to story time every week, but such is life. Anyway, I expected Ian to sit on my lap, or at most crawl around, but instead he decided to stand up and walk around.  And he never looked back--that was the end of his crawling days and the beginning of TROUBLE! Mommy is so proud and sad at the same time! My sweet little baby is getting bigger!

Ian is now almost caught up with his siblings.  He runs and they chase.  He chases and they run.  He is still working on the stairs but that can wait!
