We had a really good time. I would have preferred to fill up both baskets completely with strawberries, but Erik only wanted them half full. There's always use for strawberries, even if they aren't the sweetest. Besides, the kids had such a great time picking the berries. We treated ourselves to some delicious fruit and creme hand pies afterward while the kids played. We also got some smoked sausage to go and ate it at home. It was sooooooo delicious! Yum! We had a lot of fun! Too bad it will be our last time.
Plant some strawberry plants in Phoenix next year, or go to LEGOLAND in Carlsbad, CA and pick them in the strawberry fields near the highway! The fruit pies look delicious! Your homemade strawberry tarts would taste good, too!
