Michael's Visit + Random Stuff Part II

Here are more fun things we did while Michael was visiting:

Feb 25 was a busy day, apparently because most of my pictures were taken this day:

Elisa got a cool braid that snaked around her head

All of Ians clothes were dirty, and I mean allll of them.  So I washed them and I've decided that he has enough clothes for two little boys.

Michael and I went out to eat at Bobby Q's. We shared a meat platter, and it was of course delicious, as always.

Nutmeg had a hole in her ear (don't ask, I don't know why) and silly Elisa put an earing in it.  It was cute for awhile.  I would never leave it in her ear because the other piggies would tear it out.

We had repeat of last year--Gabe let himself get waaaay behind in his Zearn (online gifted math program), by way of being lazy and lying to us that he had no homework.  Plus his teacher didn't say a thing about how many Zearns he had to do and when they had to be done---at least not until Gabe was drowning in Zearn lessons. I got an email from his gifted teacher (Ms. Mead) announcing a donut party of those who had finished all of the Zearn. Erik suggested to just let Gabe miss out since he lied, but I decided to make up a Zearn track for Gabe to help him out because this is something the teacher should have done at the beginning of the school year, and it wasn't as if I did any Zearns for Gabe. He surprised us all and completed all the Zearns he was supposed to do, without any meltdowns.  Gabe got to participate in his donut party!

Elisa, Ian, and myself went on a spontaneous hike up the nearby hill just behind our house. Gabe refused to come. Even though we've lived in this area for 3.5 years, I'd never ventured out to see what was up the hill.  I took a water bottle and the two that wanted to come and climbed the rocky hill.  There was a bunch of "ruins"--it looked like someone had tried to build something up there but it was abandoned, for whatever reason. Ian didn't want to climb the hill so he waited at the bottom for us. There was also a modest-sized cistern/container that looked abandoned as well.  A perfect place for storing dead bodies, haha. It looked as though some punk kids tried to get to it by throwing rocks on the top.  It was too tall to see into without a ladder, so who knows what is in there. Most likely just spiders.

Me and my Boo-boo. He does look like me here. A little.

  1. I'm happy for Gabe that he finished his work, so he could go to the party! It looks like a nice hike up the hill.
