Leaving South Jordan

Friday, July 14 was our last day in South Jordan visiting the Blaylocks and my parents. I started washing clothes and packing the night before, there was SO MUCH stuff to bring back, so much that I was worried that it wouldn't all fit in the van! It didn't help that Elisa brought almost her entire wardrobe with, and those multiple trips to DI sure added up! I packed and packed and went as fast as I could, so that by noon I was ready to go. Lisa came to pick up me and my mom to go out for one last lunch at Lucky's Iron Dorr Roadhouse (at least I think that was the name). It is a burger place. We met Eric there too. Me and my mom split a burger with bleu cheese and bacon. It would have been a nice lunch of Lisa and my mom weren't angry at each other over some onion rings. We left the kids at my parents house, I assume we fed them but I can't remember what...I do remember them eating lots of yogurt though. I packed and packed and packed some more, and Lisa helped me load the suitcases in the car. We made it all fit. There was lots of room underneath the seats that I was able to store stuff.

I had to take this picture of my mom and her baby, Snowy Toes. He is a one-woman cat and hates the rest of us, but he sure loves his mommy.

I ordered some cute purple mesh bags and filled it with the lavender I had drying over the dining table the past 3 weeks.

A terrible picture of my mom eating the yummy burger

A took a bunch of pictures before we hit the road:

The boys. Aiden doesn't understand how to smile for photos yet.

On the way from South Jordan to St. George, we stopped at the NPS store in Orem. The kids had fun looking at stuff. I found a bunch of paints, Gabe found a fancy chess set, Elisa found a stuffie, and Ian found some Super Mario magnets. I also bought some IBC root beer bottles and random snacks. We stayed longer than I had planned, but that store is just so much fun to look through! I thought we would go out to eat in when we got to St. George so I didn't stop anywhere to get food. That was a mistake. We were all hungry, but I don't remember what we ate for dinner, I think we just scrounged around.

Acrylic and oil paints I bought at NPS

The kids just had to swim in the pool!

The next morning, Saturday (July 15) I took Gabe out to a few places. I stopped in at the post office to return and Amazon purchase, and then to Frenzy's but I didn't buy anything, at least not that I can remember. I had a coupon for a BOGO free pie at Flake Pie Co. (they okayed me using it even though I got it at the Flake in South Jordan) and Grandma gave me a coupon for another free pie and free taco at Roctaco. I let Gabe choose the pies and his taco. I ordered a taco for myself too, just to try it out. They're pretty decent.  Not too long after we got back and finished off the pies, we were off again to our next adventure: our Alaskan cruise! I caravanned with Grandma and Grandpa in the van with the kids and all of our crap to our airbnb rental house in Las Vegas. Grandpa picked up Erik from the Airport and we were finally all together! We had something fun planned while we were in Las Vegas: The Tournament of Kings dinner show at Excalibur!
Gabe gobbled his taco up fast!

Enjoying the pies
