A Visit from the Blaylocks, Day 5: Evening of the Arts

April 1st. During the day, Lisa and I went to Ross for some shoes, jewelry, and other fun stuff and then went next door to World Market and raided the food clearance aisle for some fun and yummy snacks. Gabe had the day off of school and I kept asking him if he wanted to do something fun with us. He didn't seem to want to do anything, so he stayed home and played the switch with the boys.

Later that evening was Evening of the Arts at the school for Ian and Elisa. It worked out nice that it had been rescheduled for April 1st. Lisa and the kids could come again; they were there last year. The kids seemed to have fun, but Lisa was getting antsy to leave towards the end. We saw a few projects that Ian had worked on in his classes and heard Elisa's band performance and Ian's recorder performance. There were food trucks outside. At the end, Lisa bought ice cream for her kids, and Elisa bought herself a cup of ice cream from the Coldstone truck. I bought Ian a mac n cheese meal from the BBQ truck since he was hungry. Another fun Evening of the Arts until next year!

Ian's recorder performances--a glimpse for him of what band will be like!

Elisa's band performance. We finally had a clear shot of her!

  1. Great to see Ian had projects in the Arts, played the recorder and Elisa played in the band.
