Our twentieth anniversary day! Erik and I woke up a little early since we had booked the morning at Sky Lagoon. We got there right when they opened at 8:30am. We paid a little bit extra for the private changing rooms and private showers. After changing, we walked into the lagoon from inside the building. The lagoon had an infinity edge over the bay. After spending a fair amount of time in the lagoon, we did the cold plunge, but very, very briefly. I only went up to my waist, but Erik went all the way under including his head.
The next step was the sauna, so I wish I have gone farther in the cold plunge since the sauna was so hot. After the sauna, we stood under a cool mist that was open to the outside air. Next, they gave us salt scrubs to rub on our skin. After that, we went into the steam room, which seemed hotter than the sauna. It was hard to breathe in both the sauna and the steam room. Finally, we went to the shower to wash off the salt scrub. At the end, they had a small cup of a crowberry, herbal tea for us to try. Next, we changed back into our clothes and enjoyed a breakfast tray that we had pre-ordered.
You two are crazy to try the cold plunge! It must have been a different kind of anniversary with the sauna, cool mist and steam room, too.
