Disney Bahamas Cruise: Day 3 - At Sea; Day 4 - Lighthouse Point

Tuesday, September 30, 2025

We slept in some and went to the buffet around nine. After breakfast, Erik went to the gym to exercise, and I joined him a little bit later. We tried out the rainforest room, which has three different showers with different aromas. Ian went to the activity "Anyone Can Cook" where he tried lobster ravioli. Erik and I wandered around the ship after that. We tried the bratwurst at the Duck in Diner and a Dole Whip at Frozen Treats. Grandma, Grandpa, and Elisa walked right by us without seeing us.

Breakfast with my cutie

Erik took a picture of me running behind the column.

Trying the bratwurst and pineapple drink. The straw was edible!

Next, we went to the soul cat lounge to make some Frozen crafts. We stuck around for Frozen trivia again, which turned out to be the same as last time. We ended up getting a perfect score along with a dozen other groups. The tiebreaker question was "how long is Frozen in minutes", and we guessed 101. The correct answer was 102, so we won the trivia.

Next, Erik and I went to the movie theater to watch Freakier Friday. After the movie, we went to Lumiere's for dinner.

Elisa ordered herself a drink. And we helped her finish it. Another edible straw!

The lamb was really yummy.

After dinner, Erik and I tried 90s name that tune, but we didn’t win because we couldn’t get a perfect score. The show that evening was Twice Charmed. The kids watched it, but Gabe ignored our texts and missed the show.

We woke up early so that we could make it to our port adventure on time. We left for the breakfast buffet at about 7:30 with everyone except Gabe. After breakfast, we went back to our rooms to get our beach stuff and our swimsuits. At 8:30, they said we could go ashore, but we were told that it would take 45 minutes to get to our meeting point at Lookout Cay. After a 10-minute walk and a 15-minute tram ride, we arrived early for our historical tour of Eleuthera. There was a delay in our excursion while we waited for a driver. We drove through some of the small towns on the southern part of the island where we saw the remains of an old cotton plantation, a limestone cave, and an ocean hole. On the tour, we sampled some plantain chips and a Bahamian limeade and pineapple soda.

Our tour guide showed us a live crab that she caught in the underbrush.

This was the remains of a limestone building on the Miller's cotton plantation.

We walked through the Cathedral Cave.

Lots and lots of bats on the ceiling

We found several banyan tree roots.

The ocean hole is a deep, saltwater lake that probably connects to the ocean underground.

Whatever plantain chips we didn't feed to the fish in the ocean hole, we fed to Ian.

When we got back to Lookout Cay, we went to the barbecue for lunch. Ian, Gabe, Erik, and I swam at the beach for about an hour, but Elisa wanted to go back to the ship with Grandpa. After swimming, we got back on the tram to go back to the ship.

It wasn't too hot, just right for swimming.

Snorkeling was a challenge due to the strong current pushing everyone southward.

Walking down the pier back to the ship took a long time.

Gabe and Erik showered quickly so that they could see the movie Fantastic Four: First Steps. It was pirate night, so we all got dressed in our pirate outfits for dinner at Lumiere's.

Erik ordered Jack's Pasta with seafood. I just had a few appetizers for my meal.

Elisa got salmon and another fancy drink.

Chocolate pudding-something for dessert. It wasn't that great.

Our waiter made origami creations for the kids and read their minds when they thought of a number between 1 and 60.

After dinner, Erik and I tried our luck at 2000's name that tune, but we didn’t get a perfect score so we lost. The show for that evening was a magician: Eric Jones. After the show, we went back to our rooms to find the kids messing around, so we put them to bed since they didn’t want to see the fireworks.

  1. The pineapple drink looks good as well as dinner. It 's nice you won Frozen trivia! It's amazing those big crabs live in the underbrush. The cave with bats and banyan tree roots was interesting as well as the lake. The beach was nice. Everyone looks good in the pirate scarfs.
