Here are some pictures of some fun things we did we did in the month of April, before our trip to Hawaii:
Ian's first time playing at the splash pad in Anthem. This was actually our second time going, but the first time he refused to go anywhere near the water. It was one of the few playdates we've attended. Ian had a great time! I'd take him again but school has ended and Gabe and Elisa would rather just go to a pool.
Erik was home for breakfast time so we went out to Wild Flower Bread Co.
Camping! We went April 6th. We went for no other reason other than we just wanted to go. We had been to this particular camping spot (7 Springs/CCC). Its a nice location with a little stream and lots of lots of rocks! It is a little too dusty for my liking but that's to be expected, being in the desert. The kids had so much fun! They even found a couple of friends to hang around the little stream with. I searched for firewood while Erik set up the tent. There wasn't much to be found, but we made do with what we had. It would have been nice to have an axe handy. It was your typical camping experience: Great food, followed by s'mores, followed by a horrible night's rest. We had just bought a new double sleeping bag and this was our first time trying it out. It was 100% polyester and did not keep us warm at all. We ended up returning it and purchasing a better one with a cotton lining. The next morning we packed up and headed home; we didn't hang around for too long. Here are the pictures:

Some bad pictures of the kids playing in the creek. I should have brought more socks and pants because the kids got themselves all wet.
Dinnertime! Hot dogs, beans, and Dorito chips.
Going through the car wash. Every time we go, Ian seems to be asleep but this time he wasn't. He was a little bit scared.
Gabe has a best friend and his name is Jayden. They've had a couple of playdates that usually include a ton of Minecraft playing.
This picture was taken way back in October but it was given to me in April. Super cute!
Elisa had a blast at her best friend Kassidy's birthday party at JumpStreet.
Erik won a raffle at his work! He won a basket full of yummy food. We really enjoyed the English horseradish cheddar, the sausage, and the coconut cookies!

The kids will always remember those camping days. So glad to see Gabe has a friend and that Elisa still has her bff. What a nice basket full of goodies. Ian looks happy at the splash pad!
