Just as she did last year, Elisa kept going back and forth as to what she wanted to do for her birthday party and sometimes even if she wanted one at all. She decided she wanted a blow up bounce house/water slide in the backyard. The company I had previously ordered it from doubled their prices and wanted to leave it on our grass for 3 days, so I decided against it. Elisa decided to have a late over swim party with games. She invited about 9 girls, and most of them came. Grandma and Grandpa also came! Aside from picking out some party prizes and Erik cleaning the pool out, there wasn't much prep work to be done for this party. The girls all streamed in eventually. A few forgot their swimsuits so they had to borrow from Elisa or go back home to grab them. Surprisingly, all the girls swam even though I'm sure the pool was quite cold. After swimming the girls warmed up on the grass and we brought out the pizza from Papa Johns for the girls to eat and some 7-up to drink. After pizza we sang to Elisa and ate donuts in lieu of cake. Elisa opened her gifts and then we played a few games. The first activity was a get-to-know-you lap sitting game. I've never played it before but I think the girls enjoyed it. I read some statements such as "move over one spot if you have a pet dog", and the girls that did moved, but the girls that didn't stayed, so there ended up being some pile ups. I didn't let the boys join in though for obvious reasons haha. While we waited for parents to arrive, the girls decided to play charades. The boys joined in and thankfully no one was shy about going or guessing!

It was a nice birthday party for Elisa with swimming, pizza, donuts, fun games, and presents, too! Everyone had fun even her brothers!
