On May 2nd, 2024, Elisa turned 13--officially a teenager! She was still tired out from her Camp Surf trip on her special day, but we still had fun. She didn't want a friend party, so for the first year ever we skipped it. But she definitely got a family birthday, Grandma and Grandpa even came down from St. George to celebrate her birthday. In the months prior, I had found lots of fun gifts for Elisa at TJMaxx when my mom came to visit, and a few months later, I found even more gifts when I went with Lisa when she came to visit. I don't think I've ever received as many gifts on any of my birthdays! Come to think of it, neither has she! I even found some cute wrapping paper to wrap them in. She liked all of her presents, but I think her immediate favorite was a shoulder "pet" Remi the Rat. Erik bought it for her because she really wanted it when we were at Disney World, but they were all sold out. He found it on Amazon, probably for cheaper. We had Elisa's dinner choice of Chick-fil-a, and I had made her a heart-shaped strawberry cake. Happy 13th Birthday to our special princess! We sure love this sweet, silly, and sassy gwilly.
