Another Kidstage performance complete! Elisa only agreed to be in it because her friend was. And Ian only agreed to be in it because Elisa was in it. This year's play diverged from Disney. This time it was some spin-off of Harry Potter, changed just enough to dodge any copyright issues. It was silly. Ian landed the role of Nigel Shortbottom (Neville Longbottom) and Elisa got Professor Dimbledore (Professor Dumbledore). She wanted the role of Hermonica Ginger (Hermoine Granger), but then asked to have less lines, so she didn't land the role she said she wanted. I felt like the weeks just flew by, with barely any practicing from the kids and before I knew it, it was time for the play. I borrowed Ian's costume from a friend, and Elisa made hers up at the very last minute. Luckily, I happened to just barely acquire a long pink cardigan, so she wore that. I've never liked the acoustics on that stage, so as usual, it was a struggle to hear the kids. During the performance, I noticed that the kids' lines were told to them if they hesitated for one second. I thought it was weird, and Ian told me later that he was annoyed by it because he knew his lines. Grandma and Grandpa weren't able to go, but it was nice that Ian's friend Edmond and family came and Elisa's YW leader (sis. Rowland) came to watch the play. I don't remember what we did after the performance, usually we would take the kids out to eat but Elisa's current phase was that she didn't like eating out, so I think we just stayed home.

Cutie on stage
It was hard to recognize Elisa on stage in her beard!
I tried listening to the play and could only get the first to work. I'll try again sometime. Looks like a fun play for them.
