April Randomness

Here is a semi-random assortment of fun things we did in the month of April:

A day out with Ian:
I got a $5 coupon from Cafe Rio.  I'd never pass up a Cafe Rio meal, so here we were.

Storytime at the local library.  We don't go very often.  This was Ian's first time at the toddler storytime.  He really enjoyed it the first time we went, but then the next few times he just sat on my lap.

A $30 Cinderella doll I found at Walmart for $5.  I bought two, but I'm kicking myself for not buying all of them that were left!  We gave one to Elisa's bff Kassidy, and one to Elisa on her birthday.

Here is Elisa and her friends.  Kassidy on the right.  At Kassidy's birthday at Peter Piper Pizza! Elisa had so much fun!

A trip to the mall with Ian:
I love that smug little face!

Eating Panda Express.  I always seem to get unbelievably, excruciatingly HUNGRY at the mall.  I HAVE to eat when I am there or I will pass out or hit someone or do something else extremely stupid! As much as I hate wasting money on fast food over and over again, a girl's gotta eat!
*********************************************************************************
Smart, smart Gabe! But we already knew this, but here is proof if you were doubting the power of Gabe's brain.
*********************************************************************************
Silly little Elisa, getting her hair curled.  I like the look the spiral curling iron gives rather than these hot rollers, so I
A random picture of Ian, I think Elisa might have taken this one, I can't remember...
 A cute Gabie-selfie!
Gabe's "ponits" aka points.  Gabe had some trouble with getting all of his work done in class, so Erik devised a points system in order for Gabe to improve in this area.  Gabe would score points for finishing his in-class work, getting on green, filling in his bubbles, etc.  Then when he earned something like 50 points, he'd get a prize of his choice.
*********************************************************************************
I took the kids to Peter Piper Pizza for a school fundraiser.  I didn't get to many pictures, but the kids really had a blast!  Erik joined us after we had been there for about 20 minutes or so.  We ordered pizza and wings, with 20 tokens.  Their pizza is okay I guess.  Erik also found a 50 token coin in one of the machines! I saved it to use for later, along with some free personal pizzas the kids one for good attendance!
The kids played a few games to win tokens (or was it tickets?).  They lost them all, but they still had fun.  This picture is the ice-cream eating challenge, where the first to finish eating all their ice cream (no spoons allowed!) won.  The kids didn't even come close, but I don't think they minded much--the ice cream was a prize in and of itself!
 *********************************************************************************
Gabe's checkup. He's had Dr. Ravi since he was a little baby! She was the one who did his exam when he was just born! Gabe is growing just fine.  He's a little skinny, a little tall, and his eye sight isn't perfect--we need to get his eyes check out.  He always reads and does crafts in dim lighting and I always get after him about that.  He also has a rather large mole on his back but its not worrisome, just need monitoring for now.
*********************************************************************************
Another (dorky) mommie and Ian selfie!
I found Elisa asleep, with all of her dollys surrounding her!

A day in the life of...Here's an FHE activity we did in April.  I can't remember the lesson, but its fun to look back on some of the things we did in a day:
Mine
 Erik's
Gabe's.  I don't know if Elisa wrote one or what happened to it.

  1. What a bargain for those Cinderella dolls. I've never seen anything like it that cheap. Cute pictures of everyone. Erik's day is hilarious, especially starting with the last eight items. I couldn't stop laughing!

  2. Gabe does so well in his classwork. I'm glad he got points, so he would finish all of it.
