Easter 2017

2017 is just flying by! Easter was in mid-April this year.  We weren't sure what we were going to do for Easter but then I invited some friends from church over to our place (a week before) to have Easter dinner with us.  Also some friends we knew when we lived in Peoria years before always host an Eater "bunny bash" so we went to that.  Here are the pictures:

After a dinner of pulled pork sandwiches and other yummies, the kids did the Bunny Bash.  The kids hit marshmallow peeps with a baseball bat.  That's all those nasty candies are good for anyway! Gabe hit all of the peeps that were thrown to him!

Then we had an egg hunt.  I help fill and hide the eggs.  And then I helped Ian grab a few eggs:
Ian wasn't quite sure what he was doing, but I think he had fun anyway!

Finding out what's inside all of those pretty eggs!

All of Gabe's eggs!

The kids had a lot of fun! They also had cake and even picked out a few prizes!

The day after, on Easter Sunday: the Easter Bunny filled up the kid's baskets!  He gave nice candy and was conservative with with the presents.

Our friends came over for Easter dinner.  It was nice not to eat dinner all by ourselves. The kids even got to do another egg hunt! Little did they know, the eggs were just the same eggs (plus a few more) they picked up the day before at the bunny bash, haha!

All in all a very fun Easter! Nothing over-the-top or too busy, but still nice.
