Here are the pictures from Gabe and Erik's (family) birthday party. Gabe is really into Minecraft so I made him a Minecraft "cake", This "cake" actually has no cake in it at all--it is comprised of 3 separate desserts: rice krispie treats, brownies, and jello. It is meant to resemble the landscape in Minecraft. The three different desserts were actually quicker to make than a basic decorated cake! I think I'm done with making fancy cakes anyway. I also printed, cut, and folded a paper Minecraft figure for Gabe. And you can guess what presents I bought for Gabe--that's right! Minecraft toys. Even Grandma got him a Minecraft shirt and Minecraft Legos! Let's not forget that it was also Erik's birthday. I bought him a tent (that he picked out) and a laptop bag. I can't believe Gabe is 8 already! And Erik is 34! They had a fun little party, including Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner.
The "cake"--browies, rice krispie treats, and blue jello.
I think he liked his cake!

Gabe loved all of his presents!
Happy Birthday Erik and Gabe!
Gabe is so funny! That is a creative birthday cake! The jello looks green in the picture. I saw a paper minecraft kit today at Kmart. I'll check it out for sure when I go next time.
