School Carnival

The kid's school hosted a carnival as a fund-raiser back in April.  I decided it would be fun to go to! It was on a Wednesday night and of course Erik was working, so I had to take all of the kids by myself.  With the kids being as old as the were, it wasn't too back.  Elisa found her bff, Cassidy and ran off with her.  Gabe kinda wandered around by himself, so that left me with Ian, who mostly stayed in his stroller.  Most of my time was spent keeping track of which kid was where.  I pre-ordered food and that was a mistake.  I got a hot dog for each kid and Gabe was the only one that ate one.  Plus it was nasty and they didn't even have the soda that they promised! Next time we will bring our own food or eat elsewhere. In any case, the kids had so much fun playing! Here are the pictures:

Gabe on the huge blow-up obstacle course

Elisa went on the rock-climbing wall twice.  She really, really wanted to try it.  She didn't get too far the first time, but the second time she did much better!

I also pre-paid to get some tickets for the kids to play carnival games.  The kids really enjoyed them, but I thought they were pretty lame.  $1.00 for a little dum-dum sucker is just ridiculous!

Elisa on the zip-line! The line for this was crazy, but Kassidy's dad held a spot for her and Elisa so she got to try it without the long wait! Gabe was too scared to try it.  Elisa really had fun on the zip line!  She would have gone several more times if the lined weren't so darn long.

Elisa and Kassidy on a little carnival ride.  These two are such good friends!

Kassidy, Mrs. Armentrout, and Elisa!  The girls with their kindergarten teacher.

Elisa tried out the surfboard! She did really well. She apparently has excellent balance!

The kids were tired and grumpy (well, at least Elisa was grumpy) when we left, but they sure had a good time!  I think we will go next year, too!

  1. What fun that is! Elisa tried the zipline at our new all-abilities park last January. She's adventurous! Gabe might try next time. He's so funny.
