The invite
I made some dig kit blocks as an activity/party favor. They were kinda tricky to make, but luckily, they didn't take too long. I used a combo of plaster of paris, sand, and water. The trick was getting the correct proportions. I painted them yellow with a white question mark. It was a messy project!
I made a practice one for Ian to dig, just to make sure the recipe worked.
I used some storage containers for a mold. I poured half the batter in, stuck in the toys, (figurines and gems I found on Amazon), and poured in the other half of the batter and let it dry.
All ready to be dug into! I found some little flat screwdrivers at the Dollar Tree that were perfect for the boys to use to dig out their toys.
I made Ian a birthday pancake before school on his birthday. Check out that hair! He must have gotten a bath too!
Ian loves Chick-fil-a!
Ian opened lots of gifts. Spoiled boy!
The organ books I ordered.
Some boys were more into playing Nintendo than others, but all seemed to like it at least for a little while.
Trampoline time!
Digging out their toys. It made such a mess on the lawn, that I had them all clean up their mess too.
The cute and happy birthday boy!
Tearing into the gifts.
Singing happy birthday to the sweetest, cutest, smartest, and silliest kid!
Who wants ice cream??
That was some yummy cake and ice cream!
Happy Birthday sweet Ian! What a fun age to be.
It was a very nice birthday and the party with lots and lots of boys. They sure did have fun!
