While I was going through my old yearbooks (which I had stored in the garage for almost a year) I came across this poor dead bat. I have no idea how it got in or how long it had been there. Yeesh. Erik threw it in the trash using a plastic bag.

Ian slept in Gabe's room so my mom could use his room while she stayed over. He actually likes having sleepovers in Gabe's room!

I was invited to go to a quilting expo by a ward member. Even though I had family in town, I really wanted to go. I figured my house guests went out to lunch together, they wouldn't miss me too much, so I agreed to go. I'm glad I did; it was really cool and so many fun and interesting things to see (and buy!). I came home with a few diamond art kits, a quilting kit for Elisa, and lots of ideas for projects, although I have yet to act on any of them. I'm pretty sure I was one of the youngest people there haha, but I didn't mind at all.
After the quilting expo, I stopped by the lady's house that invited me for a bit. Her husband has an entire train village in his garage (aka man cave) that I thought Gabe would like to see, so I took a picture. He did stop by about a month later to play with them.

A pipe burst at Erik's hospital in the middle of the night and flooded out the cath lab and the radiology department. The operating room was told to suspend all surgeries until they could clean up the water and verify that the electricity would not be affected. Erik spent all morning coordinating the OR schedule with the other hospital leaders. They finally gave the OK to proceed with some surgeries in the late morning.

Erik was invited by his hospital network to attend a Suns' game in one of the suites owned by Honor Health. There were about 10 other doctors there from several different Honor Health Hospitals. He said he knew about 3 of the surgeons from his hospital as well as a classmate from medical school who works across town. Dinner arrived later than expected, but they enjoyed chips and salsa, sliders, hot dogs, wings, popcorn, cookies, and free drinks. Best of all, the Suns won!

My mom and I found a Thai restaurant. It was good, not amazing, and I can't remember the name of it as we randomly came across it while driving around.

I was working on this (rather large) diamond art picture I bought at the Quilting Expo, and my mom (of all people) actually got pretty into it. I also caught Gabe helping out with the diamond art picture!

Good the bat was dead, but I wouldn't know since that's how they sleep in the daytime. I'm glad you went to the quilt show. Don't change plans for relatives. Erik loved the Suns so much when he was a boy, had a jersey and shoes to match! It's good he went to the game. Nice pictures!
