December 19th. Some friends from the ward threw a little Christmas party. There was food and some minute-to-win it games, with some Christmas song singing at the end. The kids gobbled down most of the food since the parents were too busy chatting instead of monitoring. We all enjoyed the games, except for Lily and Elisa who wandered away because they were too cool for the games, but they did agree to just one game. Gabe watched and participated somewhat, but it was Ian who really had a good time:
Erik won the candy cane game.
This game was really hard for a certain someone who didn't have any two front teeth (and no, he didn't get them for Christmas, one showed up around Spring break haha)
Ian and his friend James sure had fun playing the snowball scooping game using cotton balls. Gabe had fun too before he disappeared into a pile of Legos in someone's room.
Elisa and Lily took time out of their busy schedule of coolness to play a cup-stacking game
I swear this cookie just slid into my mouth; I didn't even touch it (you can see for yourself in the video). I won this round!

Ian helped send out the Christmas cards.
Dec. 21
The Annual Reindeer Games at the Park. Elisa refused to join until it was about over. Again, too cool for stuff like this, even if a few of her friends were there. Gabe had no interest either. So I took Ian, who was excited to go. I was given a clipboard to be "in charge" of a group of kids and to "keep track" of their score. It was a waste of my time, so I'll make sure to come a little late next year. Ian sure had blast playing around.

This was garbage from Gabe's floor that I stuck on his head just as he was waking up. Ha!

Ian and his friend James enjoyed a creative activity using scraps of fabric and a sewing kit. I think they were trying to make plushies.
Interesting Christmas games that look fun. I guess Ian is around the age where kids like to do lots of activities.
