The MOPRO (aka Mormon Prom) was held on March 7. I was surprised that Elisa wanted to go, because she vowed to never, ever go to a church dance. I have a sneaking suspicion that she only went because her friend Jayde agreed to go. We went shopping at Ross for a dress. The first one she picked out was really a pretty light green dress with lots of sparkle. However, it didn't fit quite right and it wasn't even close to being even somewhat modest. So we took it back, and found another dress that covered much more but was still pretty. It was also super cheap--only $13. I bought her a purse to go with the dress, and the purse was more than the dress! Since I did not attend this, I wasn't sure what to write about it, so I asked Elisa to write about it, but she refused. She did agree to a voice-text Q&A though. Here they are:
Can you tell me about the dance? We sat around and ate snacks. There were goldfish and there was a doughnut food truck that was free. There was ice cream and there were drinks that’s about it.
Did you Jayde have a good time? Yeah
Did you dance with any boys? No
Did you dance at all? No, we just sat there while we walked around and we took some pictures walked around the church.
What else was there? They were escape rooms but we didn’t do them because we didn’t have time.
What did you think of your dress? It made me look fat.
Anything else you wanna add? Nothing.
On scale one through 10,10 being the most fun and 1 being the most boring what number would you rate the dance? 10, because it was fun being with Jayde
The invite. I had heard that it was for 15+, but the invite doesn't specify and the girls had zero problems getting in.
Elisa was not down for me taking picture of them right before they left. Oh well, the lighting was bad anyway.
Pretty girls! Jayde wore my jewelry...and my shoes!
Thankfully, Jayde took lots of pictures of them at the dance and sent them to me!
It's nice that the girls got to dress up and enjoy each other's company. The decorations look fun, too.
